The BAJAJ FLAMEPROOF LED TUBE LIGHT FITTING 1X18/20W is a specially engineered hazardous area luminaire developed for safe illumination in industrial locations where explosive gas mixtures, chemical vapours, petroleum fumes, or combustible atmospheric particles may be present. Designed under Bajaj’s certified explosion-protected lighting range, this luminaire combines robust mechanical construction with dependable LED illumination and flameproof safety compliance, making it ideal for mission-critical industrial operations.
Its body is manufactured from heavy cast aluminium LM6 housing that provides excellent structural rigidity and corrosion resistance under harsh industrial conditions. The light chamber is enclosed with heat-resistant tubular glass and neoprene gasket sealing that prevents entry of dust, moisture, vapour, and external contaminants. In the event of internal sparking or electrical fault, the Ex ‘d’ flameproof enclosure is designed to contain ignition within the fitting and prevent flame propagation to the hazardous external atmosphere, thereby ensuring worker and plant safety.
The luminaire is suitable for installation with 1 x 18W or 1 x 20W LED tube configuration and delivers clear cool daylight illumination for visibility-critical work zones. It is approved for Gas Group IIA and IIB atmospheres and recommended for Zone 1 and Zone 2 hazardous classified areas including refineries, chemical processing plants, petrochemical units, paint shops, fuel storage areas, solvent rooms, fertilizer plants, pharmaceutical sections, cement industries, and explosive handling workshops.
Built with 2-way M20 cable entry, high-grade neoprene gasketing, and IP66 ingress protection, the fitting remains dependable even in dusty, wet, and corrosive industrial operating environments. The integrated LED-compatible electrical system offers low power consumption, reduced maintenance frequency, faster startup, and long service life compared to conventional fluorescent hazardous fittings.
